The production of the book was made possible by a team of nine dedicated and passionate Notre Dame students and recent alumni. Read about them below and feel free to get in touch!
Lily Kang, Co-lead
Lily graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2016 with degrees in IT Management and Sociology. As a native of Beijing, China, she came to the United States at age 15.
Lily came up with the idea of the book in her senior year and found her co-lead, Ian Tembe, through Center for Undergraduate Scholarly Engagement's Sorin Scholar Program. Since the book's publication in June 2016, Lily has expanded its impact by integrating it into the first-year curriculum.
Ian tembe, co-lead
Ian graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2017 with majors in Chemical Engineering and Philosophy. Originally from Virginia Beach, VA, Ian aspires to become a student naval aviator upon commissioning as an officer in the U.S. Navy. Additionally, Ian is a proud member of the Sorin Scholars and endeavored to enhance, facilitate, and inspire scholarly engagement throughout the university.
